The legendary Oak Ridge Boys are gearing up to release a new album titled Mama’s Boys, sharing the news in a post on their Facebook page. This will be their thirty-second studio album, set to hit shelves on October 25. The album, produced by Dave Cobb, will feature ten tracks, including their new collaboration with fellow country icon Willie Nelson.

On the same day they revealed the exciting news of their new album, the Oak Ridge Boys released a collaboration with Willie Nelson on the spiritual track “I Thought About You, Lord.”

Written by Nelson and first featured on his 1996 album Spirit, the powerful song reflects his perspective on seeing God in everything he does. When the Oak Ridge Boys heard the track after their producer played the song for them, they knew they wanted to record it too. But, they wanted to make sure Nelson’s voice was also included in the iconic song, so they invited him to join them.

This collaboration marks the first time the Oak Ridge Boys and Nelson have worked together, despite their decades-long careers in the country music industry.
